House of Maria Paint Kit Competition — Rules
1. Promoter

2. Competition period
Opens 27 August 2026. Closes 10 October 2026 at 23:59 (SAST). Entries received after this time will not be considered. Winner announced 16 October 2026.
3. How to enter
- Purchase any Maria Paint Kit (Devotion, Catching Butterflies or Splash) at its ordinary retail price.
- Paint the canvas supplied in the kit.
- Send a clear photograph of your finished painting by WhatsApp to 071 889 8638, or by email to info@houseofmaria.com, together with your name and order number.
Kits purchased before 27 August 2026 are eligible. Entries already submitted in the previous round carry over automatically and do not need to be resubmitted. To allow time for delivery and painting, we recommend ordering by 19 September 2026.
4. Prizes
One (1) winner will receive a House of Maria canvas print to the value of R5,100. In addition, every valid entrant receives a R100 discount code for their next order. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Judging
Entries are judged on creativity, originality and personal interpretation — not on technical accuracy or similarity to the original artwork. Judging is carried out by Maria Magdalena Oosthuizen. No element of this competition is decided by random draw or lot. Ties are resolved by further judging on the same criteria. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Use of images
By entering, you give House of Maria permission to reproduce and display your photograph on its website and social media, with credit to you by first name. You retain ownership of your artwork. Please tell us when you enter if you would prefer your entry not to be shared publicly.
7. Eligibility
Open to residents of South Africa aged 18 and over. Employees of House of Maria and their immediate families may not enter. One entry per person.
8. General
The winner will be contacted directly using the details supplied. If the winner cannot be reached within 14 days of the announcement, or declines the prize, House of Maria reserves the right to award it to the next highest-placed entry. Records relating to this competition will be retained for three years. Personal information is processed in line with our Privacy Policy and used only to administer this competition.
